Color Club Feelin' Groovy is a perfect Halloween green!

To contact us Click HERE
I was swatching Color Club's Feelin' Groovy the other day and after seeing it on the nail, I thought it was a perfect shade of bright Halloween green! I think it'd be a great color for a Frankenstein themed mani....I'll have to think on that one for a bit and see if I can come up with something fun.

In the meantime, check it out:

You could just add some simple stitches to it (of course you'd probably do a better job that I did! LOL):

or some orange glitter:

Thanks for looking!

Today I have some tombstone polish spam. I'm so ready for the Halloween season! The 1st color is #12423 Creepy Pumpkin. CP is a sheer orange base loaded with orange micro glitter. This is one coat over black:Next, we have #11137 Black Magic. BM is a clear base with multi colored thin bar glitter. Just like Creepy Pumpkin, this is one coat over black:This color is also called Black Magic, but it has a different number #12422. This polish is black with multi color super micro glitter. And lastly, we have #11139 Night Glow. NG is a glow in the dark topcoat. This is two coats, and as you can see, it leaves a bit of a haze overtop the base color:Now, I held both the bottle and my nails right up to the light for a decent amount of time, and although the bottle glowed brightly, there was zero glow on the nails. Thanks for looking!

Okay it's been a while since I did some lips!! And for today it has been a beauty little baby from NYX! It's from their Round Lipstick range and named Shiva. It's both colourful and shimmery, but what I like the most is that there's a hint of blue in this pink.Love the hues it gives!! Not too dark, nor not too light! Works for soooo many looks!
Does anyone has Shiva as well, and what do you think about it? Tell me!
Enjoy!Azure

Enlightened Middle

Recently I have been seeing a lot of these looks; where it's the lightest in the middle of the lid, and both corners are darkened. So I had to give it a try, though next time I should not do the lightened space so large and I have to work around my usual ways to apply eyeshadows.Any tips for this look and I'm all ears! The colours really got to me on this one, they kind of like melted together! And I was a bit insecure for the blue on the waterline, but it turned out to be a pretty cool detail! So all in all I think there will be another try!!

Illamasqua Blush in Allure - Generation Q

To contact us Click HERE
Hey all,

Ever since first trying products from the brand, Illamasqua has been up there on my list of favourites. This especially holds true now that they have permanently reduced their Australian prices (yippie for fairness)!
I have been excited about many of their collections in the past, but none have ticked all my boxes the same way that Generation Q does. Promoting beauty and make-up as ageless and non-discriminatory and doing so with fabulous new shades? Three cheers from this blogger!
So far, I have only picked up the Allure blush. I was hovering over the display and couldn't decide what else to get (as I couldn't buy it all, damn bills). Don't worry though, I am planning to run walk briskly to the shops and grab the Complement Palette, S.O.P.H.I.E Blush, Precision Ink in Wisdom and the Charisma Polish. Have any of you posted swatches for those?

To the blush!

The Shade
A dusky rose shade, with slight pink shimmer.

What I Love
- Illamasqua qualiy - highly pigmented, blendable and long lasting.
- Minimal pan fallout.
- Gorgeous shade, works very well with my darker skin.
- Has shimmer, but not so much that I turn into a disco ball.
- I love Illamasqua packaging, simple and effective.
- Loving the new reduced Australian prices!

Where to Buy: Myer, Illamasqua Online

Price: $28

Swatches

I wasn't happy with how the colour was coming across in a lot of the pictures I took, so I am posting the two that best represent it.

Have you purchased anything from the Generation Q collection? Will you be?

Hope you all have a great night! xx

Korres Lip Butter in Plum

Hey all,

I have jumped on the Korres bandwagon! After all the hype surrounding the lip butters, I decided I had to pick some up to try.
This one is my favourite so far.

What I Love- Highly moisturising, without being sticky. - Smell amazing. - Gives a pop of colour to the lips. - I;m a big fan of simplistic packaging, and Korres has got that down to a fine art!
What I Don't - I am not a fan of tubs that I have to put my fingers in. Germmmmms!
Where to Buy: Mecca & Kit Cosmetics.
Price: $18.95

Some have compared these to the Revlon Lip Butters. Although I don't think that they are quite as pigmented, they are much more moisturising and less pricey here in Australia. I think that they live up to their 'hype' and that all beauty lovers should give them a try.

I also have Pomegranate and am eyeing off Guava, Quince and Wild Rose at the moment.

Hope you all have a great night! xx

Burt's Bees Cranberry & Pomegranate Sugar Scrub

To contact us Click HERE
Hey all,

I am often plagued with dry and flaky skin, so when I was sent this nifty lil' product I was over the moon. Although my skin has a lot more problems (of the flaky variety) in the colder months, I definitely still get a bout of dry skin here and there in summer.
And who wants crocodile legs on display?

What's In It? Cranberry seeds, pomegranate oil, natural sugar crystals and shea butter.
How to UseI scrub generous amounts in circular motions all over my body. Concentrate in particular on elbows, knees and any other areas that need a little more. Wash off! And be careful, it makes the shower quite slippery!
What I Love - It exfoliates like a dream and leaves my skin feeling smooth. - Exfoliates without being too abrasive or damaging to the skin. - Conditions skin. - Natural ingredients with no harsh chemicals in sight. - Smells divine. - You get a lot of product, so it should last a while.
What I Don't - Does leave a little residue, so you may want to use it at night to avoid oily feeling skin during the day.
Where to Buy: One Floor, Myer, Priceline and certain pharmacies.
Price: $29.95

I've been trying to get into more body scrubs/exfoliators and am glad that this one was brought to my attention. I adore more natural products, especially when they do exactly what they are supposed to - three cheers for Burt's Bees!
Have you tried any scrubs that are to die for? I would love to know!
Hope you all have a great night! xx

Stila Love at First Blush Palette

Hey all,

What a horrid, rainy weekend it has been! It's been storming something awful here in Brisbane and I am not a fan of storms at all. Neither are the fur babies, so we've been snuggled up in bed with endless amounts of tea, TV shows and books this weekend.
The worst thing about it? I have been having such a great time doing nothing and Monday has crept up on me. I have a major case of Sunday afternoon blues at the moment.
Why can't I work from bed?!
I did take some pictures of products this weekend (in the glimmers of sunshine), so I will have some reviews/swatches lined up this week.

Stila Love at First Blush
I've had this blush for a little while now, but it has been living in its box until recently. It is a limited edition blush, but you can find it on the internet as usual.
What I Love - The imprint on the blush - hearts everywhere! I will be honest, this is the main reason I purchased it. - Highly pigmented. - Smooth and creamy. - No excessive fallout. - Can use the colours together or separately to achieve different effects.
What I Don't - It is VERY shimmery, so use with caution.
Price: I can't remember how much I paid, but it goes for around $20.00 on eBay.

BYS Blusher in Coral

To contact us Click HERE
Hey all,

BYS is a cheaper cosmetics brand that is often overlooked. Although their products are not always the best quality, they do produce some that are definitely worth a mention. Their blushers are definitely one of those products!

What I Love- Smooth and creamy. - Blends easily. - Highly pigmented. - BYS cosmetics are not tested on animals.- Amazing price!
What I Don't - Packaging tends to be flimsy. - Contains Mica, which may irritate the skin of some people.
Price: $3.95
Where to Buy: K-Mart, Big W, Fashion Addict online and at some pharmacies.

This blush is a gorgeous coral shade with a hint of shimmer. It's would especially compliment darker skin tones; but as it is not too overpowering - it should work for most. The ingredients tend to be 'cheaper' due to the cost, but I haven't had any problems with their products so far. If you do have sensitive skin, I definitely recommend that you have a look at the ingredients before purchasing.
At $3.95 it's an absolute steal and I definitely recommend that you give it a try! BYS also has a great range of other shades to have a look at.

Attention Maybelline mascara fans! A new member of the Volum' Express family has arrived in Canada (which usually means we'll see it here in the US shortly), and reader Princessofeyeshadow on You Tube was nice enough to share some pics with us:

I generally love Volum' Express mascaras, so I'm super excited to try this one (and hello, how cute is that blue and pink tube?). Princessofeyeshadow said that the mascaras in this display were all in a washable formula, but hopefully Maybelline has a waterproof version of it too for all you waterproof mascara lovers out there.
Have you spotted the new Maybelline Rocket Mascara yet? Thoughts?
Thanks so much, Princessofeyeshadow, for the great sighting and pics!
